B&W Challenge

Well a little time back now, there was a chance to do a small photo challenge that I was planning on partaking in.  I figured, what better place then to do it on a pond!  Better yet, I know the perfect place!  My good friend Allie has a small pond in her front yard and many interesting trees and things around the yard.  We set out to take a bunch of pictures and to find something cool.  It had also snowed a bit the night before (first snow of the new year!!) so it definitely made for some interesting shots.  Here is my favorite of the day.

This is a picture of a very old bird house that happened to get tossed in the woods a long time ago and well, never really left.  I thought it was very interesting the way it was just sitting there.  Continue down and you will see a bunch more interesting ones outside and a few indoor ones too.

Leave a comment or two and let me know which ones you like best!

Growing up on the water

You never know what someones life is like until you live in their shoes.  When I was younger, I spent every day of my summers at this marina.  I lived and breathed nothing but the smell of fresh salt air (and sometimes the rank smell of low tide... one of the down falls).  We loved watching the large boats pass by, watching fishermen cast for snapper blues and crabbing, oh the crabbing.  I will say a plus was the sunsets.  They are no west coast sun sets but they sure are beautiful.

Here is a little taste of where my childhood was spent (quite a nostalgic feeling to these photos).

Enjoy :-)

Bexter's Birthday

The first post.  What better way than to kick it off with someones birthday!  Here are a bunch of photos from Bexter's 24th Birthday.  She happened to be home from St. Louis and a few of us came to show her a good time.  These photos do not need an explanation as they definitely explain themselves.

I hope you enjoy!  (You just have to click on the photos to get a larger image)
